I have been looking at the stars since I was young. I have always wondered: What else is out there in space?
I love to understand things and therefore did a lot of research about space. I watched numerous space documentaries and read the book called "Space Race". I soon realized that I want to actively take part in space exploration. I learned of different fields in the space industry and decided that I want to become an astronaut and go to space. However, before I become an astronaut I want to study aerospace engineering so that I can understand how space crafts work.
The only problem is: Is it possible to become an astronaut, since I'm South African?
I then got introduced to Cosmic Girls and immediately got hope. I finally found an environment that could empower me to chase my dreams as an astronaut and aerospace engineer.
I have connected with so many amazing people in the space industry and have gotten great oppertunities to participate in space missions. I am now more confident in my future as an astronaut and am greatful to everyone who invests time in this organization.
My question is: How can you mentally prepare yourself to follow your dreams, deal with not always immediately achieving your goals and facing rejection?
